The OllyCard app, in conjunction with each child’s Student Travel Pass, allows you to track your child’s travel while on their school bus. It provides a selection of push notifications to your internet connected smartphone or tablet in real time.

Q. How much does it cost to use the OllyCard app?

A. The cost is free however your Bus Operator must be using the OllyCard Student Management System.

A. Data security, authorised use and reliability of service.

Q. What information do I see on my smartphone when I use the OllyCard app?

A. You may choose to receive push notifications relating to your child’s boarding and disembarkation times and locations. You will also see the school bus location in real time as well as any messages (service alerts) from the Bus Operator.

Q. How can I be sure that nobody else is tracking my child?

A. To use the OllyCard app it is necessary to use a ‘student specific’ code. This code is sent to your email address.

Q. Can I allow another person to track my child?

A. Yes, if you provide the code to that person.

Q. What if my child forgets their OllyCard or doesn’t ‘tap’ when boarding the bus?

A. You will not receive any notifications however you will still be able to track the location of the bus.

Q. I have multiple children going to different schools using different Bus Operators. Can I track all children on the one screen?

A. Yes, provided:

  • Each Bus Operator uses the OllyCard Student Management System, and
  • Your email address is registered with each School, Government Authority or Bus Operator as the authorised guardian.

Q. What happens if my phone goes missing or is stolen?

A.  If your phone goes missing and you have not activated access security, such as a strong pin code, fingerprint or facial recognition, you should contact the Bus Operator ASAP so that the activation code can be cancelled. This will prevent ‘others’ from seeing the location of your child.
